Damon Watkins, Jr. founded Brave Mind LLC to create safe, effective and affordable products that benefit people’s well-being. Brave Mind’s first product, Brave Blanket, is the solution to children’s fear of the dark. According to studies, 3 in 4 children will suffer from extreme fear of the dark. With Brave Blanket, children can safely cover their head and feel a sense of comfort and security while sleeping. The patent-pending mesh design allows body heat regulation and constant airflow for safety and breathing. Damon understands the need for this product as he himself struggled with fear of the dark and insomnia throughout his childhood. Damon is a Ph.D. Candidate in Psychology, anticipating graduation in 2023, with a Master of Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, Master of Management & Leadership from Western Governor University, and Bachelor of Psychology and Spanish from The Military College of Vermont. With nearly a decade of executive & senior management experience, he has expertise in strategic execution, operations, fundraising, marketing, HR, administration, and education.
